Bryony Cottam is a journalist who writes about science, the environment and human stories. She is based in southeast England. 

She is currently a staff writer at Geographical magazine, where she also writes the weekly newsletter and co-edits the Geographical podcast. 

Before joining Geographical, Bryony wrote about sustainable tourism for Responsible Travel and worked as a translator in Bordeaux, France. 

Her work has appeared in The New Zealand Herald, Travel Weekly and Brighton and Hove Independent.
